About this course

Negotiation skills are crucial for women in the workplace and lacking these skills can have a negative impact on your confidence, career, and relationships.

­­This course will help you to unlock your negotiation potential. You will be equipped with the practical tools and techniques to improve your negotiation and influencing skills. You can expect to learn relevant and effective tactics required to overcome challenges, solve complex problems and extract value from experiences to prepare you for the future of work and allow you to thrive in your personal life. By the end of the course, you will have an enhanced self-awareness, be able to think more critically and creatively and have the confidence to go after what you want.

The course is facilitated by Catherine Davidson and Nathalie Birt who have been helping people from diverse industries to negotiate successfully over the past two decades.

Course outline

This course will provide you with the tools to explore your strengths as well as areas for improvement in negotiation and persuasion.  It has been especially designed to build formidable networks with participants through in person engagement on campus from day one. This will further develop during the online sessions that will be facilitated by Catherine Davidson and Nathalie Birt.

Course learning objectives

On successful completion of this course, participants will:

  • Learn to manage processes of creative conflict and apply effective constructive challenge in team scenarios
  • Learn to identify their negotiation style and strength
  • Develop their interpersonal skills
  • Unlock their maximum potential and leverage opportunities through negotiation.

Requirements

Mandatory

To complete this online course, you will need a personal computer with adequate internet access and sufficient software and bandwidth to support web conferencing. You will also require an operating system with a web browser compatible with Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

On-campus and onsite course logistics
