Reposition your business to save money and stay ahead of regulatory requirements with this hands-on sustainability strategy course. Created by the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Fashion + Textiles in partnership with TAFE NSW, this course is for professionals who wish to drive meaningful and actionable impact in their business. It will provide you with the skills to identify efficiencies, analyse sustainability issues within your organisation, and develop a foundational strategy and roadmap.

About this course

No longer ‘nice to have’, Sustainability and ESG (environmental, social and governance) strategies are essential for every fashion business. A well-developed sustainability strategy ensures your business adheres to regulatory requirements and can also help reduce inefficiencies pertaining to supply chain management, sampling, and other operational costs.

Developed by renowned sustainable fashion industry consultant and educator, Dr Clara Vuletich, this course will equip you with the skills to assess, develop and measure sustainability outcomes within your organisation. This course will provide you with the knowledge and tools to develop a sustainability strategy that aligns with your business and with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. By the conclusion of the course, you should have developed a sustainability strategy and roadmap draft for your organisation.

This course follows on from the Centre of Excellence’s foundational short course, Intro to Fashion & Sustainability, launched in 2023. Alumni are currently enjoying industry sustainability management roles for such organisations as MJ Bale, CUE and ModiBodi, while others are designers with their own labels, such as Eupheme.
